George OSEI-ASIBEY is a Research Associate at IIG.

A sociologist by training and a development planner by profession, he holds an M.A. (Development Studies) from the Institute of Social Studies, Erasmus University, The Netherlands, and a B.A. (Hons) (Sociology with Political Science) from the University of Ghana, Legon.

George brings 30 years of working experience as a development catalyst in the field of project management to the table. Prior to joining IIG, he was Zonal Coordinator of the IFAD’s Root and Tuber Program, Ghana. Previously, he served as Rural Institutions Development Specialist, World Bank.

He has also served in the following capacities: Executive Director, Centre for Environmental Research and Development, Ghana; District Liaison Officer, Social Investment Fund, World Bank/AfDB; Regional Coordinator, ISODEC, Ghana; and Associate Program Officer, UNDP.
